Dogs are more susceptible to heat stroke than humans are. Never, ever leave a dog in a parked car or in the sun or without water! 

•  Your car on a warm day, even with the windows  cracked, allows the  sun to heat the metal and glass windows making the temperature inside rise rapidly.   Just a few minutes in high heat can cause heatstroke or serious neurological problems, kidney  failure, etc.
